Celebration for the Turkeys

Last year Shane and I attended the annual Celebration for the Turkeys at Farm Sanctuary in Orland, CA. It was so much fun, we knew we had to make it a tradition. This year, I was happy our friends Danny and Shaudi could join us. We spent hours meeting friendly animals, feeding turkeys, and enjoying a Thanksgiving meal.

Many thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers and donors who make events like this and the entire organization possible.

Those have got to be some of the cutest, most heart-warming pictures I have ever seen. I especially love the one of the turkey with pumpkin on his face. Priceless.

That's such a great idea! Of course it's sad that there even needs to be such a thing, but it looks like so much fun, for you and the turkeys.

What a wonderful way to celebrate! I love the pictures of the happy animals. I almost hate to ask though...what happened to the pig's face?
